I received in due course your Letter under date 12 Ult covering Receipts one for Twenty two thousand eight Hundred sixteen Dollars and ninety five Cents, which sum was transmitted you under the care of Ensign William P. Smith being for the pay of General Sevier and his Brigade for services in the Year 1793. and one for One Hundred thirty six Dollars being Money retained for Capt Wades recruits and which was sent you by Mr Byers - these amounts as usual will be passed to your debit on the Books of this Office -
