Sir I have enclosed the Receipt Roll of my Detachment for the Month of June amount-ing to three hundred and fixty Dollars and eighty three Cents, which please to pass to my Credit. The Sum I received was three hundred & seventy two Dollars & 83 Cents — you will see by the Rolls, that, Richard Lawrence has not returned from furlough, and is considered deserted. James Bree received his pay for June at your Office, and certified on his furlough. Ebenezer Woodberry deserted previous to the reception of the Money — Consequently twelve Dollars remains in my hands.—
I have also enclosed Muster and Pay Rolls for July — I have to observe, that, altho' Daniel Larry is returned deserted, from several Circumstances we have great reason to suspect he was drowned in going into the Water to bath when alone, but as we have no certainty of the cause of his sudden disappearance, I have returned him, deserted.—
I am Sir with great respect
your very humble Servant
