Sir I have received your letter of the 16 June and the several letters and papers enclosed with it. must remark briefly that Captain Butlers account, (excepting that part [strikethrough: relates to the their [undecipherable]]) with me, if he has not sent you his Vouchers You will be enabled to ascertain the Credit he is entitled to from the abstracts which have or will, accompany my [undecipherable] of payments and Receipts. The other sums shall be Collected as soon as possible. I am now settling the accounts of St. [undecipherable: probable reading — Francis?] [undecipherable] [Regiment?] from [January?] to the present time — They look well; and will probably not detain him long when he [shall?] attend at your Office to have them finally passed there.
