I take the liberty of forwarding herewith an Extract taken from the Warrant Books in this Office up to the present day for your Government. I am vc. ^WmSimmons Acct M^r Stephen Hillis Accountants Office Knoxville July 28^th 1797 Sir I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 28^th June ulto together with sundry enclosures, all of which shall be placed under exa-mination as soon as the whole of the papers come fo[r] that are connected therewith; so that the examinati[on of] this Office may be final and the proper Credits p[laced] on the Books; the examination will be needles[s if] I am in possession of all the Vouchers and receipts [to] compare with the Abstracts.
