Cap^t Edward Miller Middleton Connecticutt Accountants Office July 25^th 1797 Sir I received your letter of the [undecipherable] enclosing Receipt Rolls for Pay of yourself and [undecipherable] for April and May 1797, and receipts for bounties p[aid] Recruits, the amount of the former will be passed your Credit on the Books of this Office being One hundred and twenty five dollars and six Cents. On a reference to Cap^t Sham[undecipherable] Muster Rolls on file in this Office Charles Mill[undecipherable] does not appear on any of them, a man of the n[ame] of Peter Larkins is mustered whose time will only [undecipherable] 10^th April 1798 — should he be the same person in my opinion he will be a very improper Recruit hav[ing] been [underline: frequently] mustered sick.
