in the Creek and burying them in the mud- These I suppose are the Shot and Kentledge mentioned in your Letter of the 28^th July which you were appointed by the parties to reinspect and make a decisive report thereon, and which I requested you to attend to in my Letter of the 29 July Ult^o.- As no report has been made to me upon this Subject, I have to request that you would as soon as convenient, proceed to the places where the Shot and Kentledge made by Mess.^rs Taesh and Company are deposited and reexamine and inspect them accordingly and take measures for the safe keeping of such of them as shall in your opinion be fit for Service as shall be by you considered adviseable & proper.- James McHenry
