Sir
I have received your letter of 3d Inst directed to Major Freeman inclosing Ensign McCall's accounts for Payments made by him as Paymaster to the Troops in Georgia which shall be placed under examination as soon as the business of the Office will admit and the proper accounts credited therewith of which you shall be particularly informed.
Inclosed is a duplicate of my letter to you under date of 11th May 1797 — the monies transmitted to you on Estimate I supposed would be sufficient to pay all the regular Troops in Georgia up to the 31 March last; in that case there would be now nearly four months more due to them, for which I should be glad to receive an Estimate from you that I may be governed in the sum proper to be sent forward. I am &c.
