Sir
Herewith you will receive your Account Current in which there appears a balance due the United States of One Thousand, thirty one Dollars and twenty Cents — this account was some time since transmitted to Calib Swan Esq. Pay master General for his examination and returned with the observations as marked with red Ink.
I shall be under the necessity of witholding the 6 months pay and Subsistence allowed you by Act of Congress as a deranged Officer till you forward such Vouchers as are admissible at this Office for the balance of your account.
