John Habersham Esq^r Accountants Office     Collector July 25^th 1797     Savannah Geo^a Sir I have received your letter of 3^d Inst. directed to Major Freeman inclosing Ensign McCall's accounts for Payments made by him as Paymaster to the Troops in Georgia which shall be placed under examination as soon as the business of the Office will admit and the proper accounts credited therewith of which you shall be particularly informed. Inclosed is a duplicate of my letter to you under date of 11^th May 1797. — the monies transmitted to you on Estimate I supposed would be sufficient to pay all the regular Troops in Georgia up to the 31^st March last, in that case there would be now nearly four months more due to them, for which I should be glad to receive an Estimate from you that I may be governed in the sum proper to be sent forward. S^t Andrew Marschalk Accountants Office     New York July 25^th 1797 Sir I have received your letter of the 24^th Inst enclosing sundry receipts for bounty paid your Recruits agreeably to the list accompanying them, which will be placed with those already recv[d] ready to be entered in your Recruiting account and it shall be proper to forward it. herewith you receive some Muster and Pay Rolls. Capt^t Edward Miller Accountants Office     Middleton July 26^th 1797     Connecticutt Sir I received your letter of the [undecipherable] enclosing Receipt Rolls for Pay of yourself and R[undecipherable] for April and May 1797 and receipts for bounties p[aid] Recruits. the amount of the former will be passed [to] your Credit on the Books of this Office being One hundred and twenty five dollars and six Cents. On a reference to Capt^t Sham[undecipherable] Muster Rolls on file in this Office Charles Mill[undecipherable] does not appear on any of them, a man of the n[ame] of Peter Larkins is mustered whose time will only [expire] 10^th April 1798. should he be the same person in my opinion he will be a very improper Recruit having been frequently mustered sick.
