The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of One Thousand four hundred ninety dollars and sixty two Cents being for the Pay, Subsistence and Forage of the Corps of Artillerists & Engineers stationed at West Point to the 30.th June 1797 which sum you will please to pay to Nehemiah Freeman Temporary Paymaster, taking his duplicate receipts to be accountable for the due application thereof.
