Sir I received your letter of the 6^th [remainder cut off] enclosing your account of commissions on recei[ving and] paying monies from this Department in the Qu[arter] ending 30^th June 97 the amount of which being [one] hundred forty nine dollars 7[undecipherable: /100] will be remitted [to you] as usual by the Treasurer of the United States [for] which you will be pleased to forward your rec[eipt] to this Office.
