Blackburn, and the men under his command at Fort Norfolk for June 97 and the balance of bounty of sundry recruits which you will please to pay him and take his duplicate receipts to be accountable — also a further sum of fifty three dollars and eighty one Cents being the balance of Pay and Forage due David Patteson Surg.ⁿ Mate at Fort Norfolk from the 27^th march the day he accepted his appointment to the 30^th June 1797 inclusive which sum you will please to pay him taking his duplicate receipts for the same.
