The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of Three hundred thirty nine dollars and ninety Cents being for the Pay of Captain Richard S Blackburn, and the men under his command at Fort Norfolk for June. 97 and the balance of bounty of sundry recruits which you will please to pay him and take his duplicate receipts to be accountable — also a further sum of fifty three dollars and eighty one Cents being the balance of Pay and Forage due David Pattson Surgemate at Fort Norfolk from the 27th March the day he accepted his appointment to the 30th June 1797 inclusive which sum you will please to pay him taking his duplicate receipts for the same.
