July 4. 1797 In the requisition made to the Secretary of the Treasury, from this Office dated June by 30,000 Muskets and Pistol Balls — the quantities called for having since discovered, the quantity should be Ninety Th[undecipherable: ousands] will you be oblging as to rectify the foregoing mistake — 100 rounds for 400 Muskets will require 40,000 Musket Balls 100 d^o for 250 pairs of Pistols d^o 50,000 pistol d^o requires 90,000 Balls — Sam do Jonath Jos [W. July 5^th 1797 Capt Trixton reported to me in April last that the Frigate Constellation would be launched about the first of July and in your report on the state of that Ship of the 24 of May, you did not doubt but that you Should be able to launch in July — It is with a considerable degree of regret I now receive information that the Constellation cannot possibly be launched before the 20 of August —
