Mr Jones The Secretary of War desires me to inform you
Treasury Office. that he must depend on Mr Hughes's punctual performance
of the expectation given in his letter of the 3 instant to the Secretary
of the Treasury, that all the 12, 9 and 6 pounders will be cast
in the present Month —
The Algerine Frigate being at this time
ready for launching, and Masts Rigging &c all prepared, it is
my opinion she will be completely equipped for sea by the end
of the present Month, it is therefore necessary that the Guns
should be ready by that time — It may be proper
for Mr Hughes to state when the 9 and 6 pounders will be ready
for proving, that a proper person may be prepared to go on that
