I have received your several letters, namely, one of the 31 March — two the 17 April — one of the 3d May. — One of the 19 May — One of the 26 May. — One of the 29 of May and one of the 2d June 1797. and also their enclosures to wit: — A schedule of your payments from the 18 January to the 31 March — two [undecipherable] and I Barbee — an account Current of Dr Allison — an account Current of Major Hunt — a schedule of payments made by you from 3d April to the 26 May, and the Affidavit of Mathew McPaul together with the Gazettes, for which, please to accept of my thanks. — I shall attend to the several objects urged in your letters, in every case within my power.
I herewith return Doctor Allisons account Current with my observations thereon, and am sufficiently mortified at the discovery of having paid him 200.dollars more than was his due. Which please to deduct from what may be due to him and let me have the necessary Credit.
