Samuel Nicholson Accountants O[ffice] of the Navy June 30^th [1797] Boston Sir I have received your letter of the 26^th enclosing your account for Pay and Subsistence from [1^st] April to 30^th June 1797 and your bill of expences to a[mount] from Hope Furnace, amounting together to Thre[e hun] =dred fifty nine dollars 9 ⁷/₁₀₀; from which I have [de] =ducted one dollar and twenty Cents being an o[ver] =charge of one day in your Subsistence account [and] the last Quarter and the charge in the present ac[count] of one dollar and sixteen Cents for washing & Barbe[r] leaves a balance of Three hundred fifty six do[l] =lars and eighty five Cents which sum you will receive as usual from Jonathan Jackson Esq^r Super^r at Boston on giving him the necessary receipts for the same.
