You will receive the amount of the Pay Roll for May 1797 as usual from Nicholas Fish Esq^r. Supervisor New York on giving him the necessary receipts for the same, being One thousand thirty six dollars & forty six Cents after deducting the pay of Henry Mitchell transfered to Governors Island. You will pay S.T. Kentner, J.O. Kentner, Smith & Wheeler the retained bounty claimed by them agreeably to the return enclosed in your last letter, also the amount of Corp^l Cornwalls acc^t for pursuing Deserters, out of the unappropriated monies in your hands. On examination it appears that Bais, Pottis and Drown have receipted to Captⁿ Miller for the full amount of their bounties.
