Sir Your letters of the 16^th instant are received accompanied by two Packets addressed to General Wilkinson and one packet addressed to the Commanding Officer at Fort Washington all of which shall be forwarded without delay — The Magazine in the Old Fort is not now necessary nor a proper place of deposit for Powder particularly as there is one in Fort Fayette which has hitherto been sufficiently large to contain all the powder that has at any one time been on hand — I shall therefore endeavor to sell that building and shall also endeavor to sell the Materials of the buildings of Fort Randolph and report to you the proceeds of sales I am Sir Your very obed^t Serv Hon.
