Enclosed is an extract taken from the War Book in continuation, forwarded to you extending this day.
On examination of your last transmission Warrants & accounts I observe that you charge additio Pay in pursuance of the act of Congress of the 30th May if you will reexamine that act, and refer to the subj one you will find that Congress had no intention w of increasing your Pay, and emoluments by stile you "Paymaster General" I shall on a final examino
