Capt^t Cornelius Lyman                  Accountants Office Reading                                   June 22^nd 1797 Sir I received your letter of the 20^th Inst. and herewith inclose you a Bank Bill for One hundred dollars on account of your pay for which you will sign duplicate Receipts and deliver them to Lieut. Shoemaker to be forwarded by different conveyances to this Office. You will observe in your settlement with the Paymaster that your pay and Subsistence has been paid at this Office to the 1^st May 1797 and that (including the sum now remitted) you stand charged with four hundred Dollars which you will account to him on your arrival at the Army.
