Nehemiah Freeman Accountants Office Temporary Paymaster June 14^th 1797 West Point NY ✓ Sir I received your letter of the 12^th Instant enclosing the Muster & Pay Roll of the Garrison at West Point for may 1797 and Cap^t Littlefield's Account of bounty due to John Wheeler the former has been suspended untill the following explanations take place viz: — Cap^t McRel's pay is made up for the month of may, it will be necessary that he should state an account of his pay from the period that he was last paid in full to, and deduct therefrom three months pay that he received at this Office 25 Nov 1796 and transmit the same thro' you to this Office; lieut.
