I have received your letter of the 1st ulto transmitting Pay and Muster Rolls of your Recruits & accounts for payments to your men, all of which shall be placed under examination and the result communicated to you.
It is a desirable thing to have all Public accounts settled as early as posible I should therefore be pleased to learn of your having effected a settlement with the Agent War Department at Knoxville that he may transmit them here for a final examination and entry.
