You will receive enclosed Abstract of articles purchased by Ebenezer Stevens Esqr Agent for the War Department, in the Month of March 1799, for the Amount of which he will receive a Credit on the Books of this Office —
The Vouchers for the articles purchased being signed by the Superintendent or Quarter Master, as evidences of their delivery on Governors Island, you will judge how far the said Ebenezer Stevens is to be held accountable for the same on the books of the Superintendent of Military Stores.
You will please as usual, to acknowledge the Receipt hereof with the abstract abovementioned. I am Sir,
