Staats Morris Accountants Office Fort Whetstonepoint June 7^th, 1797 near Baltimore Sir I received your letter of the 5^th Instant en=closing the Muster & Pay rolls of the Detatchment un=der your command and upon examination it appe[undecipherable] you have omitted to make up the pay of three priva[undecipherable] viz: John Sullivan, James Hutchinson & W^m Kingsley as these men are said to be mustered present an[undecipherable] no particular remarks opposed to their names I thou[undecipherable] it most proper to order their pay to be added, never=theless if you know any reason for withholding it you will not fail to do it. You will receive the amount of the Pay Roll as it now stands being Two hundred & Seventy seve[undecipherable] Dollars from John Kilty Esq^r Supervisor on your giving him the necessary receipts holding yourself accountable for the same, I am &c.
