I herewith enclose you Copies of letters f[undecipherable: from] Mr James Haskell and Capt Thomas Thompson dated May [undecipherable] 22. by which it would appear, that altho the third payment d[undecipherable: does] not become due yet it would be for the Interest of the United States that Mr Haskell should have his third payment ma[undecipherable: made] him —
I have therefore to request that you will be pleased to take order to cause a third payment to [undecipherable: be made] him as soon as possible —
