Dear Sir
The bearer who will have the honour to present you with is the gentleman mentioned in Mr Olivers letter as a fit character to fill a consular place in France. I have received in addition to Mr Olivers recommendation the inclosed letter, and have besides there evidences of Mr Omels suitableness for such an office, a belief that he is a man of honour and that if appointed you will find him a faithfull and attentive Officer.
