Extracts - from Captain Bruffs letter - Niagara - 5 April. 1797. " To effect those repairs and alterations to the works & barracks we shall want an additional horse (carts, barrows, boats and [scows] we can make) iron for Spikes & bolts - Plank & Scantling for platforms, gutters, doors, & windows.
