I received your letter of the 1st Inst. enclosing the Muster and Pay Rolls of yourself and the men under your Command for the Months of February, March and April 1797 stationed at Fort Johnson which have been examined, and the amount Ninety six Dollars you will receive from James Read Esqr Collector at Wilmington on giving him receipts agreeably to my instructions to him on the subject.
I have to inform you that the accounts you observe to have forwarded to this Office have never came to hand.
