May 25, 1797 [^m Forman Chairman New York] You will be pleased to send by an early conveyance to Henry Jackson Naval Agent at Boston 1200 Jugs of the Hinge Roughing about 100 Tons which you are requested to take from those that were selected out by Cap^t Talbot for the Frigate that was to have been built at New york. I am willing to agree to your last proposal of omitting the Articles mentioned in your letter but the remaining part of those mentioned in my letter to you of the 3 Instant must be fully carried into effect — It may be proper to note the exceptions alluded to which will be as follows getting on board timbers, and Cables and bending them; Making, Cutting and fixing them on the gunsters and Hackling the Yards. Mastbands and [Blocks] and mast-eyes. as the aforementioned exceptions are agreeable the sum proposed I shall expect every part of the Business of Rigging &c. will be completely finished for the additional sum of 300 Dollars. —
