You stand charged on the Books of this Office with the sums of money received by you as at foot hereof being for the Pay of the scouts called out for the protection of the Frontiers of North Carolina, for the payment of which amount to the individuals employed you are held accountable agreeably to Bond entered into by you for that purpose.—
I have therefore to request the same may be complied with by sending forward the necessary Receipts & other vouchers according to the instructions given in my letter to you under date 14th Nov 1795, that the same may if free of error be passed to your Credit— your immediate attention thereto is the more requisite as the time agreed and specified in your Bond has long since Elapsed.
