I have received your letter of the 1st Inst. enclosing the returns of Clothing delivered to sundry detachements on account of the Corps of artn & Eng. during the months of april last; that part which was sent to my direction here, has arrived the day before yesterday and has been received by the Quarter Mr of the Corps.
The articles of private property which you took the trouble of forwarding to me from Phila to the Care of Mr Smith at New York have come to hand. the freight &ca have been paid on the Delivery of the Same — please to receive my thanks for your kind attendance to my request.
