I Certify that peruse letter of the Comptroller, dated the 3d Inst inclosing a receipt of John Habersham, Collector of the Customs for Savannah in Georgia dated the 31st March 1797, Said Habersham has applied to the Incidental & Contingent Expences of the War Department the sum of [underline: fifty dollars], which he discounted out of the monies arising from Imports & Tonnage, and for which he is to be accountable in pursuance of a Warrant to be Issued in his favor by the Secretary of War to which said receipt is to be annexed annually to the Communication to Comptroller.
