I have herewith enclosed &transmitted Muster and Pay Rolls of Captain Ross Bird's Company of the 4th Regint for November and December 1796 also for January February & March 1797 together with thirteen other accounts of Expenditures in your Department accompanied by a Schedule of these several accounts by which you will see the aggregate amount to be Two thousand one hundred Seventy five dollars 25⅓ cents which sum you will be pleased to place to my credit.
The Payment of Captain Turner's Company cannot be completed till his return from Detroit — He is however expected in a few days. Captain Russell's Rolls are not yet all made out, but Shortly will be completed and transmitted to you.
Captain Moses Porter informs me that Lieutenant Polhamus has been allowed six Months Pay and Subsistence as one of the deranged Officers. In that case I hope you have been kind enough to have taken Notice of his Draft on you in my favor for thirty two dollars.
