John Newhall, the Box of public Cloathing you sent on — Its Contents exactly corresponded with the Invoice inclosed in your Letter & was in good Order. The [undecipherable] Dollars was paid by the Contractors Here; & a Duplicate Receipt is inclosed — The Bill of Lading, mentioned its being paid in Philadelphia, but he insisted on having it here, as he was not going to Philadelphia soon. — I hop it makes no Difference — I am Sir your most Obedt.
