Sir,
I have received your letter of the 7th instant with the return. I will yet endeavour to find Nothmus, and get your money. the Draft you mention shall meet due honor. I am informed by the Quarter Master General that the Estimate of expenditures for the months of April & May at Pittsburgh will be sent me by next post; those for Fort Washington & Detroit I have received. The little bundle marked for Colo Sargent is a Thermometer of delicate construction, not equal to bear the common transportation, I hope it will get safely to you, for then I shall be certain it will get so to him.
