In the absence of the Accountant, I have to acknowledge the Receipt of your letter of the 7th Inst. covering Captn Michael Halleisons Receipt for Seven hundred & eight Dollars, which sum is passed to the credit of your Account on the Books of this Office.
The thirty nine dollars & Fifty Two Cents deducted from your quarterly accounts, this mistake, was transmitted you the 7th Inst by the Treasurer of the United States you will therefore be pleased to forward the necessary vouchers to close that transaction.
