I Received your favor of the N.M.M. inclosing my account as it Stands on the Books of your Office I have no vauchers but Such as you will recive inclosed and will Thank you to close the Account with them as well as you can, The Certificate Respecting the contingent money proven before The Mayor of the City, will I hope be suffi=ient to have my account credited with the 5 7dollars — and also the me resp=ecting the Months pay paid Cantwell, and Three Months pay and Subsistance recived at this place. dated paid the 21.st Daly which was not credited in The Account. if these Certificates are Sufficient it will nearly ballance The Act excepting the 16 dollars due On the Recruiting Account—
I hope the may answer the purpose, the length of time elapsed is so great that it is not in My power to make a more full Statement. — I also inclose you Ensign Greggs Receipt for the Am.t paid him at the Same time that I Rec.d mine, also his certificate that Captain Nannah recive his — The Receipts of the Men I cannot now procure the were forwarded to the War Office at the time, and are among the papers with the Company [a copy of —] however I hope you will think the Vauchers now inclosed Sufficient, and ballance the Account — and inclose me the Am.t a pay it to Mayor Wagg for that purpose — I am Sorry that this Affair has given you so much trouble
