" To effect those repairs and alterations to the works, & barracks, we shall want an additional horse (carts, barrows, boats and scows we can make) iron for spikes & bolts - Plank & scantling for platforms, gutters, doors, & windows Some lime - " Five Tons of powder with a proportion of ball and lead may perhaps be a prudent deposit to meet events - The Oakum, tar, pitch, turpentine, paint and oil will be wanted about the scows, batteaux, Officers quarters, and Laboratory - Flints, lead, paper &c are wanted for muskets and their cartridges - Bunting to repair or make a flag as time and circumstances may require, the present is yet good, flies only on Sundays, and on particular occasions" - Glue - Chalk - painters Brushes - Nails &c &c - [portion illegible] ...to examine the above, agreeing to promise.
