I find that the clerk, who posted thereon, committed an error of Thirty Nine dollars & ⁹⁰/₁₀₀, which when rectified and will be remitted you by the Treasurer of the United States, as well as the Sum of Two hundred & Twenty five dollars, which you will please to pay to Augusta DeGrasse, Sub Engineer at Charleston, and take his duplicate Receipts therefor, being for his compensation from 1^st January to 31^st March 1797.
