Sir
I have received your letter of the 25th inst[ant]. Inclose you my account current of this date with the United St[ates]. stating there is now in my hands a balance of Nine Hundred, Seventy Six Dollars, Seventy Five Cents. The vouchers which is accompany the Acct. As the time of enlistment will this summer expire to several of the men. at this garrison, I would request to be informed if it is understood I shall pay them up to the day of their discharge.
