You having in charge the sum of Five thousand Dollars for the Pay of the Troops on the up[per] Posts of the Ohio, you are hereby directed to deliver the sa[me] to Isaac Craig Esqr at Pittsburg, taking his duplica[te] receipts expressing to be on account of the Pay of the Ar[my] for which he is accountable to the Accountant of the War Department, one of which you will transmit by Post, and the other by some safe conveyance to this office wishing you a pleasant Journey I am &c.
