James Stephenson stands charged on the Books of this Office with several large sums of m[undecipherable] received along time since, on application to him for a settle[undecipherable] of his account— I received for answer, that he had settle[d] the same with you agreeably to the annexed Certifica[te] Should you be in possession of any vouchers for money expended by him I request you will immediately forward them to this Office that the same may under[go] the necessary examination and pass'd if found right to [the] Credit of his Acc.^t and the same closed on the Books of this [Office.] Your early attention to this object is particul[arly] requested.
