Brig. Genl J. Wilkinson stands charged on the Books of this Office with 165856/100 Dollars being the balance of an accounts a copy of which you will receive herewith—
On application to him respecting it, I received the enclosed letter which I submit for your perusal as well as the one I wrote him, at the same time I request you will be pleased to point out what part is to be passed to his Credit, which has been expended for secret services. I am &c.
