Sir
I have enclosed Receipt Rolls of my Detachment for the Months of January and February 1797, amounting to Seven hundred & thirty fix Dollars and [strikethrough: eighty five Cents about] please to pass to my Credit.
I am in want of blank Muster, Pay & Receipt Rolls.
If there is a law, raising the pay of Subaltern, and giving double number of Rations to commanding Officers of separate Posts, I wish you would give me an extract of it [undecipherable] as we are concerned, as I have not had an opportunity of seeing said law.
