I have received your letter of the 17 instant also one of same date from Samuel Lewis Esq. covering post notes to amount of 82934/100 dollars and for which sum I have this day transmitted him my Receipt.
Captain Bissell has not refunded the 72 dollars on account of pay and Forage of Doctor Balfour for March and April 1796. But I presume I shall be able to settle that Business with him and the Doctor.
