Pittsburg 2^d March 1797 Sir Your letter of the 24. ult. accompanied by the Packet of News Papers is received. I have this day transmitted to the Secretary of War and also to General Wilkinson General returns of Stores up to the end of the last year together with a report of provision on hand the 6^th of March at Pittsburg and the 1^st of February at Franklin Leboeuf & Presque I have supposed it unnecessary to transmit similar returns to your Office as those sent to the War Office I presume will be handed to you.
