I have examined the claims inclosed in your letter of the 1th January last, and do not find any new proof of Ferrill or either of the claimants named therein having served to the end of the war, the evidence now produced is the same that was exhibited to Mr Howell the late accountt previous to his decision; "that the same was inadmissible" I therefore return you the said claims.
