I received your letter of the 24th Ultimo enclosing the accounts of Dr Corning & Simonds which I return, you as not being proper to be settled in this Department — Accounts of this nature are considered of the Hospital Department, and accounts under that head are generally settled at the Treasury Department — The Claimants will therefore either apply in person or by Power of Attorny to that Department.
