I received your letter of the 16th Inst inclosing Receipt Rolls for your Pay and that of the detachment under your command from 1st October 1794 to June 30th 1795 which are under examination and if found right the amount will be placed to your credit.
There appears a charge against you in the Books of this Office of 197 40/100 Dollars for pay of your detachment to 30th September 1794 for which sum it does not appear that you have transmitted any Receipt Roll to this Office, I wish to hear from you on this subject as soon as possible - I am &c.
