Sir,
I had the honor to write you on the 14th Ultimo, and to forward a Copy of the Muster &c, agreably to the Organization, I hope they got safe to hand, I have now the honor to transmit a muster of the Surplusage of the late Legion of the United States, mustered agreably to the Orders of the late Commander in Chief, Copies are also forwarded to the Paymaster General, & the Paymaster of the 1st Battalion of Artillerists & Engineers, who, by the same order was to pay these men as a Detachment of that Corps— Captn Boles & Guion's Companies being at Fort Massac, their particular Rolls since the Organization has not come to hand, they may however be considered as compleat, a Detachment having been forwarded equal to the Deficiency which appeared on their latest musters.
